Escargot - YUM!!!
I ate this little bad boy at McCormick & Schmick in downtown Los Angeles. He and all the others on this plate were dee-licious! They were swimming in butter and loaded with garlic -- an old shoe would taste good prepared this way!

Traveling for work, I stopped for a Chinese dinner at the Mandarin King in Laguna Beach, CA. The place was packed so I expected something special and different than the Chinese we get here in the midwest. The shrimp rolls were nice, but the garlic chicken was exactly like the stuff I get at the mediocre joint down the street in Michigan. Go figure.

A little taco salad from the local coney joint (?) and a can of Diet Coke with lime (think pseudo margarita) and we got ourselves a fiesta! I extricated the olives from the salad before I ate it. Ah, muy bueno!
